In Chile, personal items containing electronic items like DVD, TV, Music equipment attracts local duties and taxes as per customs rules.
In Egypt, hazardous goods being shipped on Egyptair has to have a letter accepting all costs to return the goods that are not claimed within 15 days of arrival.
In Germany, shipments that are to be delivered to military base needs the following information to be given on the HAWB: Street, Town, Name of Barrack, Name of Person, Full Title, and Telephone Number.
In India, now it is required by the Customs to produce a Business Identification Number from all consignees without which there is delay in Customs clearing.
In USA, the storage starts after 48 hours. When a shipment is not claimed and cleared within 10 days, it is removed from its bond and placed in Government Order. US Customs only accepts commercial invoices issued by the Shipper.
In United Arab Emirates, all Dangerous Goods cargo not cleared or taken for delivery by the consignee within 30 days from the date of arrival, must be returned to Origin of shipment. Also, the local municipal regulations states that undelivered Dangerous Goods shipments cannot be destroyed or disposed of in the UAE.
