    A £50 deposit (or £10 per box, whichever is higher) confirms your booking. Bank transfer in UK or India, or UPI / Google Pay for India payments.

    Our driver collects from any UK postcode. We bring boxes and tape free of charge if you need them at the door.

  4. Wembley consolidation

    Your shipment is weighed, measured and prepared at our Wembley warehouse. Photos and the final chargeable-weight invoice are shared with you.

  5. UK export & India customs

    We handle all UK export paperwork, IGM filing, Indian customs clearance and import duty — everything is pre-paid in your quote.

  6. Door-to-door delivery

    Final-mile delivery direct to the receiver in India. They sign for it; you get a delivery confirmation.

  • Battery items prohibited

    Laptops, phones, tablets, power banks, drones and e-cigarettes are strictly NOT accepted on air or sea — international aviation safety rules.

  • INR payments +18% GST

    Quotes are in GBP. Paying in INR (bank transfer or UPI in India) incurs an additional 18% GST surcharge.

  • KYC required

    Indian customs requires a packing list, receiver Aadhaar copy, and full contact details for sender and receiver.

Two ways to ship

Air freight (5–7 days)

£4/kg, £40 minimum. Best for shipments under 100 kg or anything time-sensitive — wedding gifts, urgent deliveries, important paperwork.

Sea freight (35–45 days)

£2.50/kg, £250 shipment minimum. Best for full household moves and shipments over 100 kg. Up to 37.5% cheaper per kilo than air.

Transfer of Residence (TR)

Indian passport or OCI holders returning after 6+ months abroad can claim Transfer of Residence — used personal effects up to ₹5 lakh (£4,800) value imported duty-free. We handle the TR paperwork at booking.

Can I ship a single suitcase to India?

Yes. Under 30 kg, air freight at the £40 minimum is usually cheapest — door to door in 5–7 days, all-in. We will pick the suitcase up from your UK address.

What is Transfer of Residence (TR)?

A duty-free concession for Indian passport or OCI holders returning to India after 6+ months abroad. Used personal effects up to ₹5 lakh (£4,800) can be imported duty-free. Goods must be used 12+ months and consignee present in India.

Can I send food parcels with personal effects?

Sealed, branded, factory-packed groceries from UK Asian supermarkets are accepted in small quantities (under 10 kg per shipment). No home-cooked food, no meat, no dairy, no fresh produce.

Do you handle the Indian Customs paperwork?

Yes. CargoForce files the Bill of Entry, manages KYC, pays Customs duty and IGST on your behalf, and arranges delivery. The consignee just signs for the boxes when they arrive.
